July 2022 Card Layout #4

Card Challenge
This is one card challenge I received this month.

Here’s my take on the challenge layout. I used the Sequins Dies and the Splendid Day DSP from Stampin’ Up! I just thought the card layout screamed for the dies, and the DSP was shiny just like sequins. A good match!!

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut at 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 1/4”. Added a layer of Petal Pink, 5 1/4” x 4”. Added a layer from Design a Dream DSP 5 1/8” by 3 7/8”. Die cut a bunch of sequins from the Splendid Day DSP. Stamped sentiment in Pear Pizazz on a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and die cut with a die from Splendid Stems Dies. Added a 2 1/2” x 6” piece of the DSP to the card envelope flap and trimmed it.

July 2022 Card Layout #3

 Club Challenge
Our challenge for this month comes from Molly. We each got a paint chip from Benjamin Moore and were asked to create with it.  I chose the closest one to Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana. I heat embossed three floral images from Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds Bundle with silver embossing powder. I also used the large image die from Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Bundle and add some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon. The leaves are heat embossed with silver embossing powder and shaded with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend and Color Lifter.

July 2022 Card Layout #2

 July 2022 Card Layout #2
This is a fun fold that shows both sides of the DSP. Here are two samples. I used Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Bundle (159048) on the first card with the Abigail Rose DSP (159037). On the second card, I used Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Bundle (158816) with Texture Chic Specialty DSP (158808).

Directions/measurements for layout:
Card base is 4” x 11” cardstock. Score at 5 1/2” and cut off 3/4” from the top. Cut a 4 1/4” square DSP. Fold it in half and adhere the back half os DSP to back of card base. The top part of the DSP will fold over the front flap on the card front.  Add a 3/4” strip of DSP to bottom of card front. Stamp sentiment. On a label add die cuts, ribbon, and other embellishments. Attach to top of the card front but leaving enough so that the that DSP piece on top can fold under the label. Add 4” x 5 1/4” white cardstock to inside of the card. Adhere 2 1/2” x 6” DSP to envelope flap and trim.

Ring of Love DSP

Just love the birds and colors in Stampin’ Up’s Ring of Love DSP. The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments Bundle (158734). The dies are designed to cut out the sentiment-no fussy cutting. YES!!

Base is 5 1/2” x 11” cardstock. Cut off 1 3/4” strip from the base and then cut that strip to 1 1/4” x 5 1/4”. Emboss the 1 1/4” x 5 1/4” strip. With the rest of the base score at 4 1/4” and 7 1/4”.  Fold on the 4 1/4” score line. Fold the cardstock over on the 7 1/4”. Attach 4” x 5 1/4” white cardstock on the inside of card base. Attach 1 1/4” x 5 1/4” to the right side of the inside white cardstock. Adhere embossed strip to the left side of card front. Glue down the front fold. Add 1 5/8” x 5 1/4” DSP to the card front. On a large label add die cuts and sentiment. Adhere label to card front. Adhere 2 1/2” x 6” DSP to envelope flap and trim.
